Preheat the oven to 190°C.
Soak 120g of bran sticks in 200ml of boiling water until cooled and absorbed.
Cream the butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl.
Gradually beat the mashed banana and eggs into the butter mixture until smooth.
Combine the lemon juice and milk, then slowly beat into the batter.
Stir the softened bran mixture into the batter.
Sift the flour and baking powder into the bowl and stir to combine.
Fold in the salt, dried fruit, and the remaining 120g of dry bran sticks.
Divide the batter into a lined 24-hole muffin tin.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.
