Steps

  • Melt 25g butter in a large pan over medium heat.
  • Fry beef in batches until browned, then set aside on a plate.
  • Fry sliced onions in the same pan for 10 minutes until golden-brown.
  • Add crushed garlic and fry for one minute.
  • Return meat and juices to the pan and stir in spices and salt.
  • Add 600ml beef stock, coconut, and sultanas to the pan.
  • Simmer covered over low heat for 45 to 60 minutes until beef is tender.
  • Stir in the remaining garam masala and serve.
