Steps

  • Pre-heat the oven to 200°C.
  • Peel and slice the apple into wedges.
  • Melt 75g butter and 75g sugar in an oven-proof frying pan until golden.
  • Add the apple wedges to the pan.
  • Mix flour, 25g butter, brown sugar, egg, and 25ml milk into a smooth paste.
  • Spread the paste over the apples in the frying pan.
  • Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
  • Melt 75g butter and 75g dark brown sugar for four minutes.
  • Slowly stir in the double cream to finish the sauce.
  • Serve the hot sauce poured over the apple sponge pudding.
