Steps

  • Cook apple chunks with 15ml of water and sugar in a pan until collapsed.
  • Cream the butter and sugar using a beater until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in ground almonds and incorporate eggs one at a time.
  • Layer cooked apples and blueberries in a ceramic dish and top with almond cream.
  • Scatter sliced almonds on top and bake at 180°C for 40 minutes.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and a dusting of icing sugar.
