Steps

  • Cut the potatoes into even small cubes and place in a pan of cold salted water.
  • Bring to the boil and cook until the cubes are very tender.
  • Drain the water and return the potatoes to the pan.
  • Add 50g butter and 100ml milk to the pan.
  • Mash the potatoes thoroughly using a potato masher.
  • Season with salt and pepper and stir in the mustard.
  • Serve the mash while it is hot.
