Method

Preheat the oven to 170°C.

Line a 30x20x3.5cm tin with buttered greaseproof paper.

Melt the plain chocolate and butter in a bowl over a pan of simmering water.

Sieve the flour and baking powder into a separate bowl.

Stir sugar into the melted chocolate mixture and remove from heat.

Add eggs and vanilla essence to the chocolate.

Fold in the flour, nuts, and chocolate chunks.

Pour the mixture into the tin and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Cool in the tin before removing and cutting into squares.
