Steps

  • Toss sweet potato slices with oil, garlic, chilli, cream, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  • Transfer the mixture to a lightly oiled gratin dish and spread the slices so they lie flat.
  • Pour any remaining cream from the bowl over the potatoes and drizzle with the remaining oil.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40 to 50 minutes until tender and browned.
  • Finish under the grill for 1 to 2 minutes for extra crispness if desired.
