Steps

  • Mix flour, sugar, yeast, salt, softened butter, and 200ml of milk in a large bowl.
  • Add remaining milk and knead the dough on a floured surface for 7 minutes until smooth.
  • Incorporate spices, extracts, almonds, and dried fruits into the dough and let it rise for 2 hours.
  • Roll dough into a 45x35cm rectangle and brush with melted butter.
  • Place a 35x15cm marzipan sheet in the center, roll the dough to enclose it, and rise for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 190°C.
  • Bake for 1 hour, then brush with melted butter and dust with icing sugar.
