Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C and sift flour over a large baking tray.
  • Mix white flour, wholemeal flour, sugar, bicarbonate of soda, and salt in a bowl.
  • Combine yogurt and milk in a jug until the mixture is smooth.
  • Make a well in the flour and gradually stir in the milk mixture until combined.
  • Knead the dough for two minutes until it becomes light and spongy.
  • Divide the dough into six portions and roll them into balls.
  • Flatten the balls on the baking tray until they are 4cm deep.
  • Brush rolls with milk and bake for 25 to 35 minutes until golden-brown.
  • Cool the rolls on a wire rack before serving.
