Steps

  • Sprinkle yeast over 150 ml of water and let rest for ten minutes.
  • Sift flour, salt, and pepper into a large mixing bowl.
  • Stir honey and olive oil into the yeast mixture until combined.
  • Pour the yeast mixture into a well in the flour and mix into a sticky dough.
  • Add remaining water gradually to achieve the correct consistency.
  • Knead dough on a floured surface for ten minutes until smooth.
  • Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and rise for 1-2 hours.
  • Punch down the dough and knead again until smooth.
  • Divide into five balls and let rest before shaping.
  • Flatten and stretch each ball into a 20 cm circle.
  • Place on floured tins, add toppings, and bake in a hot oven until crispy.
