Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan and fry chopped onion and crushed garlic for 3 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in the chopped tomato and ketchup then simmer for 4 minutes until slightly reduced.
  • Spread the tomato mixture onto pitta halves and top with pepper strips and cheese.
  • Bake on a baking sheet for 4 minutes until the cheese melts.
  • Serve the pitta pizzas with shredded iceberg lettuce.
