Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 150°C.
  • Heat the oil in a large frying pan and brown all the meat thoroughly in batches.
  • Layer the meat, onions, carrots, and spices in a large casserole dish while seasoning with salt.
  • Add enough cold water to almost cover the ingredients and bring to a boil.
  • Cook in the oven for at least 2 hours until the meat is tender.
  • Serve the hotpot with mashed potato and lingonberry jam.
