Steps

  • Cut a cross into the top of each fig using a sharp knife.
  • Push the figs down on a board to open them and place them on a 25cm square of foil.
  • Spoon balsamic vinegar, honey, and thyme over the figs and season with salt and pepper.
  • Fold the foil to create a sealed parcel.
  • Cook the parcel in a frying pan over medium heat for about 10 minutes until softened.
  • Open the parcel and sprinkle with grated Manchego cheese to serve.
