Steps

  • Place flour, salt, and pepper in a freezer bag and pour beaten egg and breadcrumbs into separate shallow dishes.
  • Coat fish pieces in seasoned flour, dip in egg, and then roll in breadcrumbs until evenly covered.
  • Heat oil in a heavy-based frying pan and fry fish for 5–6 minutes until golden and crisp.
  • Drain fried fish on kitchen paper.
  • Boil a pot of water and cook frozen peas for 2–3 minutes until soft.
  • Drain peas and serve immediately with the fish fingers.
