Steps

  • Sift the flour into a large bowl.
  • Crack the eggs into a small bowl and remove any shell fragments.
  • Whisk eggs and a portion of the milk into the flour, then gradually add remaining milk until smooth.
  • Step the mixture for a few minutes before stirring in the chosen fruit or dipping apple rings.
  • Melt a teaspoon of butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter or coated apple rings into the pan, leaving space between each.
  • Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until bubbles form and edges begin to set.
  • Flip fritters and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until golden-brown.
  • Mix cinnamon and sugar in a bowl and sprinkle over the cooked fritters.
