Method

Dissolve the coffee in 125ml boiling water and strain.

Add sugar, brandy, and 500ml water to a pan and bring to a boil while stirring.

Add the prunes, bring to a boil, and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes until the liquid is syrupy.
