Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, then fold in the flour, cocoa powder, milk, and cherries.

Line a 20cm x 12cm baking tin with paper and grease it with butter.

Pour mixture into the tin and bake for 10-12 minutes until risen but gooey.

Cool the brownies and cut them into squares.

Heat the sauce ingredients in a pan while stirring until smooth.

Serve brownies with warm sauce and a dusting of icing sugar.
