Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs, then fold in the flour, cocoa powder, milk, and cherries.
  • Line a 20cm x 12cm baking tin with paper and grease it with butter.
  • Pour mixture into the tin and bake for 10-12 minutes until risen but gooey.
  • Cool the brownies and cut them into squares.
  • Heat the sauce ingredients in a pan while stirring until smooth.
  • Serve brownies with warm sauce and a dusting of icing sugar.
