Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 150°C.
  • Melt the sugar, butter, and golden syrup in a saucepan over gentle heat.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the oats, ginger, and chocolate chips.
  • Press the mixture evenly into a lined and greased tin.
  • Bake in the center of the oven for 40 to 50 minutes.
  • Cool for 10 minutes then cut into oblong bars.
  • Allow to cool completely in the tin before removing.
