Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Mix sugar, self-raising flour, softened butter, and cocoa powder in a bowl.
  • Add the beaten egg and milk until the mixture is thick and smooth.
  • Spoon the mixture into a greased and lined 20cm baking tin.
  • Scatter the fresh blueberries over the top of the batter.
  • Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until the center remains soft.
  • Cut the warm cake into squares.
  • Serve warm with a dusting of icing sugar and a drizzle of double cream.
