Steps

  • Melt the butter in a stainless steel casserole over medium heat.
  • Fry the onion for 3 minutes then add the apple and cabbage.
  • Cook for 5 minutes until softened and incorporate the sultanas and sherry vinegar.
  • Cover the pan and cook for 1 hour until the vegetables are just tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper then continue cooking until cabbage is tender and liquid has evaporated.
