Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a 20cm cake tin.
  • Slice one apple into 1cm pieces and cube the remaining apples.
  • Layer half the fudge and the sliced apples into the tin.
  • Coat the cubed apples in spices and add half to the tin.
  • Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then beat in eggs and flour.
  • Fold in remaining apples and fudge and bake for 60 minutes.
  • Dust with sugar and cinnamon and serve with clotted cream.
