Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Melt butter and sugar in a flameproof dish over medium heat.
  • Cook the mixture until it darkens and begins to caramelize.
  • Add the 2cm apple chunks and cook until completely tender.
  • Rub cold butter into flour in a bowl until it looks like breadcrumbs.
  • Stir in the cinnamon, demerara sugar, and oats.
